Play Fest Truro (3 – 4 August)

Held at Boscawen Park in Truro, this two day festival of art, culture and community brings together children, young people and their families with the artists in their communities across Cornwall. A fun day for kids including a circus show, dance workshops, live music, fun fair, arts and crafts, story telling, street food, bouncy castles and more! Falmouth Week (5 - 14 August)

The biggest event in the Falmouth Calendar, Falmouth Week is back! Expect to see summer markets, the carnival party, sailing regattas, Jazz, Blues, The Wurzels, hog roasts, Ska night, tributes to Fleetwood Mac and Queen and legendary 80s-90s night with Shola Ama and Jason Donovan! Expect maritime celebrations, boat racing, plenty of fun and atmosphere throughout the town, the spectacular firework extravaganza and finishing with our very own Cornish legend, Kernow King. - Find out more...

Film on the Ferry (9 August)

The King Harry Ferry is transformed into a floating cinema for one night only! For a cinema unlike any other this is the ultimate experience! With refreshments from the Thirstea Company, the ferry is floated out to the middle of the river for the film to begin. The film is Perfect Storm but we're pretty sure there will be calm waters in August! Bring something warm to snuggle in and don't forget to bring a seat so you're comfortable! Red Arrows Display (10 August)

The spectacular breathtaking, utterly un-missable Red Arrows are back with their show-stopping display. From 6.15pm watch these incredible jets soar, twist, turn, somersault and fill the sky with life and colour. Get a good position and watch in awe, they never fail to disappoint! - Find out more...

Tregony Heavy Hose Show & Country Fayre (14 August)

The Tregony annual Heavy Horse Show and Country Fayre presents the parading and judging of heavy horses and Shetland ponies. There will be a selection of craft stalls, music, refreshments, sheep shearing and sheep dog demonstrations. Visitors can enjoy the vintages cars, birds of prey, pony rides, Punch & Judy shows, fairground rides and bouncy castles! There's even a pet dog show visitors can enter! - Find out more...

Get Active Truro Festival (15 - 19 August)

Lemon Quay is the location for the Get Active Truro Festival who will be hosting an abundance of free activities including 'come and try' sports sessions and demos for the sixth consecutive year! Daily from 10am-4pm, each day there will be a different theme. Try your hand at table tennis, cricket, netball, basketball, badminton and rounders. Enjoy walking, golf, a climbing wall, cheerleading, dancing, cycling and skating. Also, on the Friday, businesses of Truro will compete in traditional games such as egg-and-spoon and the three legged race! - Find out more...

Portscatho Regatta (27 August)

A traditional regatta with a full programme of sailing over an exciting and highly visible course in the beautiful Gerrans Bay. Shoreside events include live music, games, food and drink. - Find out more...

Cornish Country Fair (28 August)

A fun filled family day out including a dog show, clay pigeon shooting, heavy horse displays, rare animals, treasure trail, falconry displays, horses and ponies, food, crafts and a marquee with local produce. There is even a tug-of-war championship! - Find out more...

Parklive, Falmouth (Sun 28 August 2.30-4pm)

A free event taking place in Kimberley Park on the last Sunday of every month in the summer months with a different band performing in the bandstand each month, ParkLive is managed by Source FM with the support of Falmouth Town Council, the University of Exeter, A1 Appliances and Townsend Accommodation. It's a fantastic community-centred event, open and accessible for local families, residents and visitors to attend – pack a picnic and enjoy the acoustic sounds, circus skills, theatrical performances and art workshops. - Find out more...
