Maenporth

Maenporth Beach is a beautiful, sheltered and secluded cove, approximately 2 miles from Falmouth town centre. Maenporth is a sandy beach perfect for sunbathing, rock pooling fishing and boating.

Maenporth Beach offers great views across Falmouth Bay towards Pendennis Castle and some superb coastal walking opportunities onwards towards the Helford river area.

There’s also a great little cafe called Life’s a Beach right on the sand, serving delicious cornish ice-creams and a selection of hot and cold food - freshly cooked to order.

Loe Beach

Loe Beach is literally a haven for watersports. The picturesque and sheltered cove between Truro and Falmouth is the ideal spot to explore the tranquil waters along this beautiful part of the river.

It has it's own Watersports Centre with plenty of options to hire, including kayaks, paddleboards, motor boats and row boats, as well as sailing dinghies.

Being a little off the beaten track, Loe Beach is also less well known than most beaches and a great spot for a swim.

Swanpool

Just a 15 minute walk from Falmouth town centre, Swanpool is a great spot for families with plenty of activities.

Swanpool is a beautiful sand and shingle beach with easy parking, fabulous food at the outdoor café, bouncy castle, crazy golf course, water-sports and kayak hire.

There's also a Nature Reserve consisting of a large expanse of fresh and saltwater, home to vast array of wildlife and easily accessible for everyone. The Nature Reserve is a lovely place to take a relaxed stroll, go wildlife spotting and feed the ducks and swans.

Gyllyngvase

Situated just a ten minute walk from Falmouth town, Gyllyngvase beach is one of Cornwall's gems.

It's easy to see why Gyllyngvase is Falmouth's most popular beach, one of only eight beaches in Cornwall to receive the Blue Flag Award 2017 which recognises that the beach is clean, with the highest quality of water, well managed and safe.

The beach is home to the unique, stylish and popular eatery Gylly Beach Cafe. The perfect place for a romantic meal or a family gathering with it’s sundrenched terrace and fantastic views.

And of course there is WESUP - The UK’s first dedicated stand up Paddleboard adventure centre. If you fancy becoming part of the vanguard of this whole new craze then there’s truly no better place to start.

Flushing Beach

The Riverside village of Flushing has is a small stretch of beach with scenic views across the water to Falmouth town and dockyard. 

The gateway to the Carrick Roads, Flushing Beach is a great spot to see the Cornish pilot gig rowing boats racing and the working boats, adorned with colourful topsails that make for a wonderful spectacle.

There is no better way to arrive in Flushing than from the water. Take the Flushing Ferry from Falmouth which runs all year round and start exploring.
