Jump on the St Mawes Ferry and head to Falmouth, explore the amazing museum and grab a spot of lunch on the way back to the ferry.

1. Jump on the St Mawes Ferry

Hop aboard one of our beautiful classic wooden ferries from St Mawes Quay.

 

Use your Fal Mussel Card Visitor and cruise across the Fal River in stlye.

Along the way, enjoy the panoramic views of the Carrick Roads and see the fortresses guarding the roads.

You'll also be able to the working docks at Falmouth and if you're lucky, some Dolphins and sea birds.

2. Head to the National Maritime Museum Cornwall

Stroll through Falmouth town.

 

The National Maritime Museum Cornwall is just a short walk away from either of our ferry landings in Falmouth.

Get off at Prince of Wales Pier and stroll down through the town centre, or get off at Custom House Quay and take a short walk to the National Maritime Museum Cornwall.

3. Explore the award winning National Maritime Museum Cornwall

Learn about Cornwall's maritime heritage.

 

The National Maritime Museum was voted the best large attraction of the year at the 2012 Cornwall tourism awards.

Explore some of the best exhibits in the UK, look out of the 100ft tall tower and see Falmouth's harbour or see the sealife from the 22ft tall tidal windows!

More than just a museum about boats, explore the stories of people who used the vessels and the adventures they had in them.

4. Grab a bite to eat...

Award winning fish and chips.

 

On your way back to the ferry, you must call into Harbour Lights Fish & Chips!

Family run and family friendly, the fish and chip shop is the only MSC certified restaruant in the whole of Cornwall. The restaurant itself offers dramatic views over Falmouth harbour and is home to the famous kids bucket meal where you get a free spade with every empty bucket!

5. Return to St Mawes

Head for home...

 

Stroll back to the ferry and head back home.


Simply head back down to Prince of Wales Pier or Customs House Quay and head for home.
