Visit Place

Great walks, dramatic coastline and lush beaches.

Immerse yourself in walkers heaven.

Explore the Roseland peninsula to its full potential. As soon as you step off the Place ferry you will need to have your walking boots on as you explore some of the most unspoilt spots in Cornwall. It's poor road access means the area is unspoilt and a real secluded spot.

1. Jump on the Place Ferry

Cruise across St Mawes harbour...

Along your journey you'll see the quant fishing village of St Mawes from the water.

The Place Ferry runs across the harbour Easter - October seven days a week. The landing at Place is tide dependant, so check with our friendly skippers what times you can sail.

2. Explore Place

Get your walking boots on...

The Place Ferry makes up part of the South West Coast path and it's easy to see why.

The walks from Place are simply stunning. Take a walk to St Anthony's Lighthouse on the edge of the Carrick Roads, explore the lush sandy beaches of Great and Little Molunan or head to Place house and explore the historic church (well worth a visit).

Head for home...

Stroll back to the ferry and head back home.

Simply head back down to the place ferry landing and jump on the boat where your skipper will take you back to St Mawes
