Basking Shark ExplorerAs the sea starts to warm up and become calmer, Plankton blooms start to grow within the sea, attracting the second largest fish in the world to our coastline - The Basking Shark
There is nothing more thrilling that seeing one of these huge fish swimming gracefully on the surface, filtering sea water through its massive open mouth.
We would like people to join us on these special trips to look for these awe inspiring creatures and fill out special survey forms that we can pass on to the Cornwall Wildlife Trust.
We will also be looking for any other wildlife in the area and will give you lots of fascinating information about our coastline while you are on the boat.

September & October 2009
Seal Surveys and PupsWe have a strong resident population of Atlantic Grey Seals around our coastline and this is the time of year that they start to give birth to their white coated pups and then gather in larger numbers to mate.
We would like people to join us on these special trips to help us spot these wonderful animals and fill out special survey forms that we can pass on to the Cornwall Wildlife Trust
We will also be looking for any other wildlife in the area and will give you lots of fascinating information about our coastline while you are on the boat.

November & December 2009
The best months for Birding are over the winter months, as many of our area's water birds are passage migrants or winter visitors.Due to the variety of coastal habitats including rugged cliffs, muddy creeks, salt-marsh, sandy and rocky shores, sheltered coves and freshwater, a wide range of species can be seen on one trip.
This safari will take you into the Carrick Roads to look for seals and Birds in the area (and any other wildlife that may be around) and then further up the Carrick Roads and into the River Fal to survey the different species of Birds spotted.
Survey Sheets and ID guides will be provided
