We are delighted to announce that Prince Charles has chosen a picture
taken at the launch of our new wooden St Mawes Ferry for this years
Royal Christmas Card.

The photograph was taken by St Mawes Ferry crewman Tony Hopewell during
a visit by Their Royal Highnesses in July this year.  The Duke & Duchess
of Cornwall were launching the new St Mawes Ferry 'The Duchess of
Cornwall', that was built from wood using traditional methods by
Cockwells Boat builders in Falmouth.

Tony Hopewell who now works part time as a crew on the ferry used to be
a professional photographer and said ''During the naming ceremony, the
St Piran flag that had been covering the name plate - and which was been
controlled by strings - came crashing down and landed on the Duchesses
umbrella.  Both of them started laughing at what had happened and I was
fortunate to capture the moment''

The card is sent to the many charitable volunteers, friends and
supporters who help Their Royal Highnesses.
