Fal River Festival Opening Ceremony

1500 :: Lander Street Gallery, Truro
The opening ceremony will hopefully be starting at Lander Street Gallery, Truro with some nibbles & drinks whilst being able to browse the gallery before heading down to the Piatza to meander through the local art exhibition 'Lemon Trifle' held by Truro College Art & Design Department whilst jazz quartet, The Matt Jones will be playing.

:: Beer departs Truro
Falmouth Shout singers and invited guests depart Truro Quay with 'THE BEER' from Skinners Brewery aboard the St Mawes ferry 'Duchess of Cornwall' and 'Enterprise'.

1700 :: Other crafts join 'Beer Fleet' at Malpas
Other vessels join the parade of boats at Malpas to escort the beer down river to Falmouth Prince of Wales Pier.  The parade will move at 6-7  knots. 

We invited all manner of crafts to join us to escort the beer down river to Falmouth.  Skinners Beer Festival tokens were handed out from a RIB to all vessels and their crews which could be surrendered at Events Square later that evening.
 
We had over 30 vessels that joined the 'Beer Fleet' as we headed South towards Falmouth.


Varieties of boats that joined us in the parade...Working Boats/ Tugs/ Punts/ Gigs/ Yachts/ Ferries/ Canoes/ Working Boats/ Fishing Boats/ Lifeboats/ RIB's/ Dinghies/ Kayaks
 
1720 :: Falmouth Tugs join Beer Fleet
Two Falmouth Tugs joined the parade and headed for Falmouth with fire monitors spraying water.

1800 - 1815 :: Falmouth Prince of Wales Pier
Upon arrival at the pier the beer was carried through the main street of Falmouth to Events Square headed by the Cornish Pipers.



1830 :: Events Square

Beer carried to Skinners Bar in Festival Marquee.
A live Jazz Band played setting the atmosphere from 1830 - 2030



1930 :: Live Show from Truro School of Samba
Samba Band and Dancers performed a static display in the Festival Marquee.



2100 :: Headline Act
The first 'Skinners Free Live Music' band...



2300 :: Ends
