‘Lemon Trifle’-Truro College Art Exhibition

from 25/05/2010 until 29/05/2010.

The time has come round again to celebrate the cream of talent emerging from Truro College’s Art and Design department. By now a popular event on the Cornwall arts calendar, there will be a vast and exciting range of talent on display. From Textiles to Graphics, Silversmithing and Jewellery to Fine Art and Ceramics, work from students of both full time and part time courses will be represented in the Marquee on the Piazza.

“The aim of ‘Lemon Trifle’ is to celebrate the diversity and excellence of work produced by students of all ages studying art and design courses at Truro College within the centre of Truro,” comments Mark Dunford, Deputy Team Leader for Art and Design. “Using a temporary exhibition space, in the heart of the community, will provide visitors with a unique insight into the highly individual and diverse work produced by students from the art and design area.  An exhibition of this kind can have a dramatic impact upon the students’ futures.”

Admission is free and staff and students from Truro College will be on hand all week to answer questions about the work, or help those looking to find the right art and design course for them, whether they be a school leaver wanting to enter full time study or an adult learner wishing to develop new creative skills on a part time basis. The college offers a range of qualifications in art and design ranging from A levels to International Baccalaureate, National Diplomas and HE Foundation Degrees.

A visit to ‘Lemon Trifle’ might inspire you to follow your creative dream or you might be tempted to purchase a piece of the freshest art on the market to grace your home or office.
