Castle to Castle Swim
from 06/06/2010 until 06/06/2010.
The Castle to Castle Swim is an annual event run by the RNLI in aid of their South West Lifeguard Appeal and is part of the Fal River Festival. It takes place on Sunday 6 June starting at 12.30pm to coincide with slack water.
This unique event involves a 1 mile Open Water Swim from Pendennis Point (Falmouth) across to St Mawes Castle.
All entrants must be capable of swimming at least one mile in open water and guarantee to raise a minimum of £50 sponsorship for the RNLI (all competitors must wear a wet suit)
This year in addition to the swim the RNLI will be organising the St Mawes 10km (6.2 mile) cross country run around the Roseland Peninsula following the spectacular coastal path - those taking part in the swim have the option to either do the swim and run back to back or join the mass start later in the afternoon.

The St Mawes Ferry will be running extra ferries until 8pm from Custom House Quay.
