The Fal Mussel Card Local is a new transport card that replaces the paper concession passes on the King Harry & St Mawes Ferry. The new card is ideally suited to locals, commuters and regular users of the ferries and allows them to travel for around half price!*

*Fal Mussel Card Local and top up credits are now available to buy or to pick up from the Fal River Visitor Information Centre on Prince of Wales Pier in Falmouth.


  • Ideal for: Locals, commuters and regular ferry users
  • Credit is purchased in advance and then deducted from the card as it's used
  • Valid for: Three years
  • Can be used on: King Harry Ferry, St Mawes Ferry, Place Ferry, Falmouth Park & Float/Ride, Pandora Ferry and Falmouth Water Taxi
  • Half price travel (*Average discount)
  • Credits cost between 50-60p (One crossing on the King Harry Ferry costs 4 credits. When buying 240 credits for £120 this is the equivalent of £2 per crossing. This is less than half price! A standard single crossing on the ferry is usually £5.)

The Fal Mussel Card Visitor allows you to head out and enjoy unlimited, hassle free travel on the Fal River Links network. This award winning service includes classic ferries, scenic train rides and rural bus services, as well as miles of beautiful coastal walks and car free cycle paths that you can use to get around the river.

  • Ideal for: Visitors and people here on holiday or a short break
  • Hop On Hop Off: Gives unlimited travel on the Fal River Links network 
  • Includes: All the ferries, buses and trains that criss-cross the area
  • Valid for: 1,2,3 or 6 days
  • Available from: 1st April - 5th Nov 2012*
  • Only costs: £6.40 a day! (Based on 6 day card)

  • Valid for: 1, 2, 3 or 6 days
  • Available from: 29th April - 6th November 2011*
  • Only costs: £5 a day! (*Based on 6 day card
