About :: Pandora Ferry History Established in 1468 the crossing became an essential link for the Post Service running between Falmouth and London; the ‘Post boys’ were the bringers of news and orders for ships. Regrettably the service ended in the 1950s. In 2010 the service was reinstated by Cornwall Ferries Ltd.Sadly in March the Pandora Inn was the victim of a devastating fire. We will still be providing a limited daytime service in 2011 for walkers around the river. We are hopeful that there will be some temporary catering and bar facilities available this summer.

The Routes :: Tolverne - Halwyn Ferry History; A historic rowing ferry operated between Tolverne and Halwyn as part of the Pilgrims Way. Beautiful tea rooms at Halwyn, overlooking gardens and river. Open Easter to October.
Water Taxi; We are happy to provide a water taxi service between yachts and the shore.
Loe Beach; Riverside beach with boat hire, sailing school and lovely beachside cafe.
Smugglers Cottage; 15th century, the cottage serves coffees, lunches and cream teas. During WW II it was used as an embarkation point for D-Day.
Trelissick; Sub tropical garden over-looking the river. Great woodland walk, gardens, gift shops and tea rooms.
Roundwood Quay; An Iron Age fort with two outer ramparts and inner enclosure sits above the early 19th century quay which was built to export tin and copper to South Wales.
