In 2012 the Place Ferry will run between April 1 and November 4.

Place Ferry - Leaving St. Mawes
About :: The ferry not only makes up part of the South West Coast Path but from Place Creek passengers can head out on a selection of achievable short walks and discover the Roseland Peninsula.
With its white sandy beaches, St Anthony's lighthouse, defensive fortifications, church and spectacular walks, this inspiring peninsula is one of the most delightful Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the South West. It's also ideal for dog walkers!

The Route :: The Place Ferry operates a half-hourly service between St Mawes and Place Creek from April 1 to November 4, 2012, 7 days a week.
The landing spot at Place is dictated by the tide, consequently at high water the ferry lands at the slipway by Place House and at low water lands at ‘Toddy Steps' 100 yards along the footpath to the North.
There are waterproof information sheets on the ferry, just ask the skipper.
While we welcome bikes and push chairs please understand that the ferry is built for 12 passengers and there is not a great deal of room for multiple bikes so if you are a bike group please give us a call first and we will see if we can help with a bigger ferry.
