The Budock Vean Hotel which won the Gold Award for Green Tourism and the Cornwall Sustainability Awards last year, has joined King Harry's Cornwall consortium which promotes tourism in the area.

Martin Barlow, director at the hotel, said it was the project's aim to increase the quality of holidays in the county which prompted him to join.  ''We hope that we will gain greater exposure with potential visitors and guests and encourage them to use them to use the King Harry Ferry so they experience as much of the local area as possible."

Lucy Brightley Marketing Manager at King Harry's Cornwall said: ''We are extremely proud of the wide range of excellent quality accommodation we recommend to visitors to the county and the Budock Vean is without doubt a superb hotel to promote.''
