The first Saturday of the festival bizarrely bought with it all events beginning with the letter C. Charities, clubs, children and choirs, are just a few words I am going to use to describe the activities of Saturday 28th.

Events were taking place all over the river, but at Events Square there was a buzz of electricity circulating the marquee as charities and clubs of Cornwall were successfully raising money. With music and entertainment, provided from PANTS and The Works, music and dancing flowed around the tent.

Whilst children were learning to street dance and Zumba in the tent, BF adventure were launching people off the side of the National Maritime Museum tower. At 95 feet high, all participants had their courage and a couple of ropes to rely on. They repeated the exercise on Sunday 30th and raised over £2000 to support their work with disadvantaged children and people with disabilities.

As the mild temperature dropped in the evening a new event to the festival began in Trelissick Gardens with their grand finale floating on the River Fal.

Three separate choirs joined forces, comprising of the Riverside Singers, The Ingleheart Singers and The Suitcase Singers all conducted by Claire Ingleheart and entertained the crowd with their songs and sea shanties.

The generator on the ferry was silenced due to its humming of the off note of B.

A lovely day had by all...
