This February half-term at the Maritime Museum in Falmouth get your claws into creative crafts inspired by sensational sea creatures.
The fun kicks off with the Incredible Crustaceans Supersized Weekend on February 14-15.
Meet the team from the National Lobster Hatchery to learn about these surprising sea creatures and make your own creations come to life using stop-motion "Claymation" in the crustacean animation workshop.
Over the weekend there will also be the chance to find out about the ancient art of Cornish lobster pot making with tradition pot maker George Chambers and work with local artist Geraldine Jones to create willow sea creatures and add them to a giant lobster pot art installation. And especially for Valentine's Day make your own 'living willow' heart to take home and plant in your garden.
Throughout the week, from February 14-22, make giant lobster claws, fabulous fish masks and more with the Museum's aquatic art activities. Plus search for the shells in the Museum's galleries and discover the creatures hidden inside.
On Tuesday February 17 there's Story Time with Sally Crabtree, who'll be casting her line into the sea of songs and making treasures from her cargo of creativity. And on Thursday February 19 Douglas Dapper, the Story Explorer will be delving deep to discover how sea monsters come in all shapes and sizes.
All the activities at the Maritime Museum over February half-term are free with your Museum entrance ticket. For more information on opening times and admission prices visit www.nmmc.co.uk or call 01326 313388.
