Kernow Wake Park, based in Halvasso, between Falmouth and Helston has been open a year now and are about to open for their second season. Alex Sly, the owner of Kernow Wake Park, explains that his aim/vision/dream is to expand the wakepark to create an outdoor fitness hub.
There isn’t any kind of outdoor activity center in Cornwall or much any where else, people around here are sporty and active so why not create a place they can do all kinds of outdoor sports in one area.
This is why, Fitness Wild will be holding there fitness workshops every Wednesday evening from 6-7pm. Fitness Wild are an outdoor fitness group based in Falmouth that work on all round health and fitness, either in group workshops or personal training sessions.
The Fitness Wild team will be holding training sessions at the wake park every Wednesday evening 6-7pm.
They cater for all abilities in a controlled and professional environment. Gyms are intimidating places and its even harder to find a trainer who will help you understand why and how you should train a certain way.
Jimmy from Fitness Wild went to the Marine School with Alex and he always liked his vision of creating a big outdoor sports hub. “We love working outdoors and what better place than this amazing spot”.
Strength and fitness training helps all aspects of your health and other sports you may be involved in. A great way for wake-boarders , surfers and kite-boarders to work on there core strength, stamina and fitness.
Kernow Wake Park are also hoping to organise yoga sessions down at the park this season. Again, to help wakeboarders with their general fitness and health but also for anyone that doesn’t wakeboard to enjoy yoga in a beautiful, calming, tranquil location.
Come down this Wednesday the 8th, for there first training session at the wake-park 6-7pm. Summer is well on its way, the nights are getting longer and and its time to get fit!
