Before the departure of the Titanic Honour and Glory exhibition on 21 June the National Maritime Museum Cornwall is holding some special late night openings for this not to be missed exhibition.

From 17 to 19 June the Maritime Museum will be keeping its highly acclaimed exhibition open until 8pm, to give everyone an opportunity to see the rare objects on display.  Many of the objects which reveal Cornwall’s connection to the tragedy have been loaned by local families and may never go on public display again.

Jenny Wittamore, Assistant Curator at the Maritime Museum says: 'This exhibition really has been about local people sharing their family history with the rest of Cornwall. We have been overwhelmed by the fantastic response we’ve had and are extremely grateful to everyone who has made this exhibition possible.'

And on the final weekend of the exhibition the owners of Titanic Honour & Glory bring the magic of the blockbuster movie to life, offering you the opportunity to wear the ‘Heart of the Ocean’ necklace - as worn by Kate Winslet in the Oscar winning movie.  While you’re there, why not take the opportunity to ask them all those questions about Titanic you’ve been dying to know the answer to.  Drop in anytime over the two days to wear one of the most famous props in the history of the movies and take home a souvenir photograph for just £5.
