We have put this little guide together on where we think is best to see the magnificent Red Arrows fly around Falmouth harbour.
The Red Arrows are set once again to grace the skies above Falmouth with their stunning aerobatics display.
We have put together all the best spots to watch the event from. The display is set to start at 6.15pm but we recommend giving yourself plenty of time to arrive as Falmouth will be very busy.
The Falmouth Park & Float/Ride will be open until 9pm with ample amounts of parking available.
Our top spots
1. On the water
What better place to watch the Red Arrows from than actually in the harbour itself? There are some tickets still available for tripper boats heading out to the harbour to get the best seats and see the spectacle.
2. Custom House Quay
The quay in Falmouth will offer a brilliant waterside vantage point with views stretching all the way across the Carrick Roads. Our tip is to get there early as this is a popular spot and finding good standing room can be difficult.
3. Church Street Car Park
The council run car park is closed all day to allow crowds to flock to this great spot. The car park looks right over the harbour offering uninterrupted views of the skies. Much like Custom House Quay, get there early to find a good waterside spot.
4. Trefusis Headland
Somewhere a bit different, just across the water head to Flushing and then walk along the coast path/beach and pick a good spot. Flushing village is closed to non residents though from 1pm-7pm and there is no parking, so this is best explored by water. Jump on the Flushing ferry (check sailing times with the skipper) or park around the headland at Mylor and enjoy a walk around.
5. Pendennis Rise
Just above the working docks overlooking the whole harbour and Falmouth town these will be the highest seats in the house offering great views towards Flushing and up river to Penryn. There is limited street parking available here, best bet is to park in Falmouth or arrive on the Park & Float and stroll up the hill to find a vantage point.
