From 21 March
It's a Viking invasion this Easter at the Maritime Museum with the return of the Dragon's Den playzone and a whole hoard of activities throughout the school holidays.
The Dragon's Den returns from March 24 where kids can experience horrible, hairy history brought to life and explore the world of Viking myths, monsters and legends with games galore and fun for all ages.
Dress as a Viking and become a raider or trader, take on the giant magnetic Viking picture puzzle and slide down the neck of Fafnir the fearsome dragon, if you dare!
Over the Easter weekend kids can cast their own Thor's hammers out of chocolate, strike a Viking age 'King Cnut' coin and enjoy Going Viking with Fleet of Foot Theatre, where enthusiastic story seekers Nelson Fleet and Henry Foot will send their battered old filing cabinet into the past to discover all things Viking. Fleet of Foot Theatre features Jack Fowler and Jason Squibb, who was most recently seen as Reverend Odgers in the BBC's Poldark.
On March 29 and April 5 join Rattlebox Theatre as they share the outrageous adventures of the Norse gods with Viking Sagas full of danger, trickery and beheading. And throughout the school holidays, from March 25-April 10, kids will go berserk for the magnificent make and take activities, where they can become a mighty warrior or fearsome dragon. Plus look out for more vulgar Viking reenactors, saga telling and puppet shows on selected dates over the Easter holidays.
And best of all with the Maritime Museum's new "Fair for All" pricing a child's ticket has been slashed to just £5. Pay once to visit Cornwall's multi-award winning family friendly Museum and get in free for a whole year. That's just £5 per child for a whole year of family fun!
