Home from home on The Roseland Peninsula, The Lookout is a superb retreat in the grounds of The Rosevine.
Sleeping 8, up to 4 adults and 4 children, you can have the freedom to come and go as you please, but with the facilities of The Rosevine just next door.
There is access to the indoor swimming pool and if you fancy giving "the chef" a night off, book a table in the restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
There is absolutely everything you could possibly need for a holiday at The Lookout, with an open plan kitchen/living area, a wood burning stove and comfy sofas in the lounge to snuggle up in the colder months and French doors that lead onto a decked area and a private garden – a great place to enjoy a refreshing drink and tasty BBQ supper in the summer.
As well as outdoor toys in the garden, children will love the rock pooling nets, boogie boards, buckets and spades and all other kinds of paraphernalia supplied for days spent on Porthcurnick beach at the end of the lane, as well as the playroom with chalkboard wall, toys and games.
Plus, you don't need to worry about having to pack everything as highchairs, cots, a pushchair and baby bedding can be provided.
Home comforts include a dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, internet, an iPod docking station as well as picnicking items, outdoor furniture and utility room to boot.
There are four bedrooms, three bathrooms (towels and toiletries as well as beach towels and starter supplies of store cupboard ingredients and cleaning supplies are all included), and shopping is easy with supermarkets in St Austell, Truro and Ralph's food store, deli and bakery closer to home in Portscatho. And just up the lane is Curgurrell Farm which sells fresh crab, lobster and fish, all caught locally using their own boats, as well as home grown and local garden produce and free range eggs.
Then when you want to venture beyond The Lookout there is plenty to do in this enchanting part of Cornwall with its many pretty waterside villages, quiet expanses of glorious countryside and stunning beaches. Trips further afield can include a boat trip from St Mawes to Place or to Falmouth, a walk around St Mawes Castle or its sister, Pendennis Castle in Falmouth, and the Eden Project is a short drive towards St Austell.
The Lookout is available to rent on a weekly basis or for short breaks throughout selected periods in the year.
