Fri 22nd & Sat 23rd May, 7.30pm Plus Sat Mat 2.30pm

This programme features three very different one-act ballets and demonstrates the versatility and skill of this talented company.

George Balanchine's Mozartiana is a sparkling piece of pure classical dance to similarly effervescent music from the great ballet composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Twilight is a breathtaking mini drama by Hans Van Manen. Set to John Cage's exhilarating music (The Perilous Night) for prepared piano, a couple's quarrel deteriorates into dynamic full-blown rage, as the sound of the woman's stilettos pounds the floor matching her furious passion. The evening also features a brand-new piece from contemporary choreographer Garry Stewart, Artistic Director of Australian Dance Theatre. This stylish and dynamic piece is set to an urban and industrialised soundscape and presents the audience with an intense explosion of modern dance
