First produced in 1870, Coppelia has continued to charm both old and young. Lovers Swanhilda and Franz fall out when Franz becomes infatuated with Dr. Coppelius's mysterious daughter, Coppelia. In the toymaker's absence, Swanhilda and Franz separately enter his house. The result is full of surprises!

Delibes' evocative and melodic music enhances the dancing and the witty comedy. This production, choreographed by Terence Etheridge, is ideally suited to Cornwall's unique ballet company - the Duchy Ballet.
