44km of kayaking, cycling and running around the beautiful Roseland Peninsula.
The Roseland Peninsula, one of the most beautiful areas of the country, lends itself to a circular kayak/run/cycle/run challenge.
The 44km race will start in St Mawes and consist of four sections:
1) 2 km kayak from St Mawes Harbour across the bay to Molunan Beach (by St Anthony Lighthouse)
2) 11 km trail run along the coastal path to Pendower Beach
3) 28 km road cycle ride from Pendower Beach to St Just via Veryan/Ruan Lanihorne/Philleigh
4) 3 km trail run from St Just to St Mawes.
This race will be tough for those that complete it at pace but an ideal distance for those new to adventure racing, who want to get a taste for it.
Kayaks and Buoyancy aids will be provided.
Date for the Event - Saturday 9th June.
Entry £50 or £90 for a team entry (teams will be 2 people who must complete all sections together and will share a double kayak in the kayaking section).
Registation will be in St Mawes:
Competitors must bring their own bicycles (helmets will be compulsory), cycling sections are on the road, running sections are on the coastal path.
Bikes will be transported to the first transition and setup awaiting competitors arrival. The bikes will be transported from the second transition back to St Mawes where they will be available for collection by competitors after the race.
