Film Night at Flushing Arts Week

Our film nights show films that have been made by residence of Flushing or ones that have a local connection.

This year our screenings include:

‘The Village Green’ Screened on the 5th April 1992 Mark Tyler and Kate Bellamy present the fourth and final heat in the Village Green competition between the villages of Flushing in Cornwall and Parkham in Devon.

The villages were competing for the Village Green trophy and a prize that will benefit the community.

Elements of the competition include a tug of war, a general knowledge quiz, gardening, cookery and an entertainment act.

Animations and films by local children and young adults

An introduction to ʻA Minute in Flushingʼ a project for 2014/15 where local residence will be asked to produce a one minute film of what Flushing really means to them.

The results will be edited by a BBC producer and will be screened at the Film Night in 2015.
