Calling all Cornish Clubs & Charities!

28 May 2011

Cornwall’s charities and clubs are being invited to take a pitch at C3, the community event at this year’s Greenbank Fal River Festival.

Local marketing, PR and fundraising consultancy Eventy – Marketing & PR is once again combining its corporate and charity skills and contacts to benefit non-profit organisations through this popular annual event.

C3 will be held in Falmouth’s Events Square, on Saturday 28th May from 10am – 5pm and will be sponsored by Lang Bennetts Chartered Accountants.  It is an opportunity for Cornwall’s charities and clubs to raise funds, their profile and membership numbers, whilst offering fun and entertainment for visitors.

This is a major event in the Greenbank Fal River Festival which celebrates life on and around the river Fal, and takes place from May 27 – June 5 in 2011, attracting more than 100,000 people to over 150 events making it one of the largest festivals of its type in Cornwall.

Managing Director of Eventy – Marketing & PR, Helen Mulhern said, “I am delighted that non-profit groups, clubs and charities will be able to utilise this high profile event.  This is a valuable opportunity for local causes to interact with the public and raise vital funds.  The type of exposure that C3 offers is invaluable and it is thanks to Lang Bennetts Chartered Accountants’ sponsorship that the event is able to take place.”

With Cornwall’s Community Foundation supporting the event, Executive Director Linda Whittaker said, “C3 fits really well with the Community Foundation’s objectives of supporting local projects in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly that engage people in making their communities better places to live.  Eventy is utilising this opportunity to benefit organisations based in Cornwall that ultimately serve and support our community”.

Any non-profit group is welcome to take part in C3, to raise funds and awareness, from charities to sports clubs.  With a marquee in the centre of the square, a pitch is just £35.  In addition to this, organisations are invited to utilise the stage within the marquee, as well as the space outside in the square.

With family entertainment, entrance to the public is free and with BBC Radio Cornwall and the West Briton supporting the event, a website, 40k programmes, blogs, posters and a range of media activity planned, Eventy is expecting this event to be extremely well attended.

Jonathan Mashen, Partner specialising in Charities at Lang Bennetts said, “We are very proud to be sponsors of this year’s C3 event.  The opening of our new office in Falmouth on Greenbank Quay brings the skills of our specialist charity and not for profit team to the heart of Falmouth.  The C3 event provides a valuable platform for non profit groups, which we are keen to support.”
