Flushing Arts Week

29 May — 5 June 2010

For one week each year the village opens its doors to local artists and visitors for a festival of art.

Across the water from Falmouth, connected by the ferry, is the real working village of Flushing.

COME AND BE PART OF THE ‘LIVING GALLERY' IN FLUSHING VILLAGE.

Artists, amateur, professional or ‘aspiring' exhibit their art at venues throughout the village.

The main gallery is in the village club, with further exhibits in the two pubs, residents' windows, on the ferry and beach, in the woods, with community events on the Bowling Green overlooking the fabulous Falmouth harbour.

This years community art events will open with Bunting Making World Record attempt, Doodle Art, Withy Giant Making, Poetry and Drawing on the Bowling Green on Sunday 30th May 2010 at midday.

Week events include Calligraphy and Felt Making workshops, postcard art, and photographic competition, film night and evening entertainment.

Wishermen open air theatre performance, the two performances on Thursday and Friday evening. Tickets only, available from the village stores in Trefusis Road.
