350 swimmers, one mile of gruelling conditions and all raising money for one fantastic cause...
The 2012 RNLI Castle to Castle Swim, part of the Truro & Penwith College Fal River Festival, was once again a huge success, pulling in swimmers of all ages and from all walks of life.
This unique event involves a 1 mile Open Water Swim from Pendennis Point (Falmouth) across to St Mawes Castle.
All entrants must be capable of swimming at least one mile in open water and guarantee to raise a minimum of £50 sponsorship for the RNL
The weather was less than ideal with a fresh westerly please and a lumpy sea state. Many of the swimmers said it was the toughest swim yet but the RNLI were out in force to make sure the the event went swimmingly!
