Pendennis Castle Celebrates the Jubilee

Pendennis Castle leads the way for Falmouth's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Royal celebrations will be in full flow at Pendennis Castle to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubillee.

The historic castle overlooking Falmouth will be holding two special events which the whole family can enjoy.

From June 2 - 10, a Jubilee Royal Trail at Pendennis Castle will have you seeking out Kings and Queens from the past on a mysterious adventure around the site.

History hungry visitors on the hunt for clues can explore the mighty fortress, as well as win a special prize if they complete their challenge!

The fun continues from June 4 - 8 June at English Heritage’s special royal-themed Time Travellers Go… event.

Guests will be captivated by a royal top trumps game show, witness a historic rebellion and meet a selection of costumed royal characters.

Children will have the opportunity to fight for the crown in a spectacular sword battle, before creating their very own crown or flag, while parents can look forward to exploring the grounds and immersing themselves in the history of the castle

Charlie Fear, English Heritage Event Manager for the West, said: 'The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee is an important historic event that happens once in a lifetime.

'Individuals and communities across the UK will be marking the occasion in many different ways and we’re delighted to be joining in the celebrations at Pendennis Castle.

'Our jubilee events promise a unique experience in a spectacular historical setting, with plenty to engage children in this momentous Royal occasion.'
