One of the things you immediately feel upon entering the workshop is the heat from the furnace, visitors will have the opportunity to view the fascinating process of glass blowing up close and will be able to ask Malcolm questions about the various steps and techniques involved.
You are not charged an entrance fee, just walk in and Malcolm will share with you his 35 years of experience of working with hot glass while forming colourful bowls and vases from the glowing gathers of molten glass. What about experiencing the heat, fun and excitement of glassblowing yourself! Malcolm is offering glass blowing lessons in the morning and afternoon on Saturday 28 May. Maximum students per session are 2 so the teaching and hands on experience is intensive. You will get a lot out of the lesson and you will come away with something you have actually made too!
