Helford Marine Conservation Group are running a photography competition and challenging photographers of all abilities to capture communities, wildlife and activities of the Helford.
The Helford is one of the most beautiful areas in Cornwall and photographers are being challenged to capture its beauty in a special competition.
Helford Marine Conservation Group are running the competition and the winning entries will be displayed in the Great Atlantic Falmouth Gallery.
There are four entry classes available and judges want to see photographs that capture the marvelous communities, wildlife and activities of the Helford.
The four entry classes available are:
1.Seasons of the Helford – any scenes that capture the Helford through the seasons.
2.Natural History of the Helford - the fantastic broad wildlife, landscapes and habitats of theHelford River
3.Communities of the Helford - capture village life, community events, and scenes.
4.Children’s - any photographs of the Helford taken by children aged 14 years and under.
Entries will be judged on Saturday 24th November 2012, and displayed at the HMCG Evening Event ‘Recording Nature—the Work of the Environmental Records Centre’ at Gweek Village Hall.
There are three ways to enter:
1. Submit printed photographs with entry form to Gweek Village Hall (next to Gweek Seal Sanctuary) between 9:30am and 10:30am on Saturday 24th November 2012.
2. Email photographs and entry form to Rhiannon.Pipkin@yahoo.com (no later than 22nd November 2012).
3.Post printed photographs and entry form to: HMCG Photography, 4 St. Michaels Road, Ponsanooth, Truro, TR3 7EA (to be received no later than 22nd November 2012).
