Nordic Walk in Devoran

Get into Nordic Walking during the Fal River Autumn Walking Festival with a chance to learn the ropes with Kate Jackson.

The Walk 

Nordic walking- walking only smarter. Involve your upper body using poles. Takes the strain off lower limbs and back. Uses more energy and you can still chat as you walk.

Suitable and adaptable for all fitness levels.

Devoran, lower Carnon valley car park – between old road and new A39 just in Devoran accessed from Devoran slip road

What to bring

Walking shoes/ trainers, not wellingtons boots it may be muddy but this is more of a fitness class than a stroll. Comfortable, flexible shoes, ideally worn before to avoid blisters.

Water bottle, to carry by hand, in a small back pack or hip bag. A snack for after if you think you need it.

Dog Friendly 

First Time Nordic walkers may find it difficult to handle the poles and a dog, behaved dogs are welcome but may be distracting.
