Falmouth's famous Pink Wig Night is back and hoping to raise even more money for Breast Cancer Campaign and charities across Cornwall.
Falmouth’s Pink Wig Night returns on the August 10, hoping to raise even more money for Breast Cancer Campaign and local charities across Cornwall.
The women only event will be the opening night Falmouth Week 2012, held at the marquee on Falmouth’s Events Square.
Founder and inspiration for Pink Wig, Sally Hicks-Wood said: 'This year’s Pink Wig Night is going to be amazing, it is bigger and better than ever, it’s going to be so much more than we could have wished for.'
The evening will get under way on The Moor, Falmouth with all pink wig-wearing ladies congregating before 6.30pm, before marching through the town accompanied by the renowned Falmouth Marine Band.
Inside the marquee there will be a Zumba warm-up from Gillian Saddler, music supplied by Source FM DJ, Tash Berks, and the 70’s band, Neon Luv Chicken.
Food will be supplied from Le Creparie De Sophie and there will be a beautiful selection of pink-ribbon cupcakes by Justina Bearman and pink cocktails, sparkling wine and sour shots available from cocktail makers and shot boys!
Beauty therapists from Budock Vean Hotel using Spiezia Organics products will be available to do various massages and Limelight Photography will also have a photo booth set up with available to be purchased to remember the evening and a raffle with great prizes on offer. Everyone involved will either donate profits or services to Pink Wig Night.
Information is available from their website, where you can also find 'Save the Boobies' t-shirts, proceeds of collection will be made to Breast Cancer Campaign and money raised elsewhere will be donated the St Michael’s Hospital Hayle, where Sally has her own treatment.
Pink Wig Night was founded in 2009 by Sally Hicks-Wood, who suffered from Breast Cancer , her aim is to eradicate it completely through checks, treatments and cures.
Everyone involved will either donate profits or services to Pink Wig Night.
Remember: There's only one rule - You must wear a wig!
Tickets are £12 and are available from www.pinkwigevent.org.uk, the ticket booths dotted around the Events Square and Ribticklers Fancy Dress on Market Strand, Falmouth.
