Pendennis is a great day out come rain or shine for all the family - dog friendly too!

On a fine day climb the stone spiral staircase to the top of the castle to take in the breath-taking views over the town of Falmouth, nearby beaches and out to sea. Look out for sea-faring vessels and a huge range of wildlife, birds and coastal creatures.

On days when the weather isn't so friendly, visit the Discovery Centre and try out Morse code, plan a coastal attack and learn about the mechanics of loading weapons. The cosy Pendennis Castle Tearoom has a tempting selection of hot and cold treats and plenty of seating inside or out, and if you're feeling more adventurous, you can picnic on the grassy spaces around the castle.
