The Royal Marines Band together with singers and choirs come together for a charity concert in aid of the RNLI.
Muscal marines return to the Hall for Cornwall for a charity concert in aid of the RNLI.
By popular demand, after the outstanding concert of 2012, the Band of H M Royal Marines Plymouth and the Plymouth Gilbert & Sullivan Fellowship, supported by members of the Mevigissey Male Choir, are returning the Hall for Cornwall to provide another memorable concert.
The Band completed a very busy year playing a big part in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, The Queen’s Armed Forces Review, the Massed Bands Beating Retreat and Remembrance Day ceremonies.
The Plymouth G&S Fellowship is the oldest G&S company in the country, and its annual production of the challenging “My Fair Lady” in the Devonport Playhouse in March was one of the finest undertaken and received so many accolades.
The summer was occupied by the performances of HMS Pinafore in concert, at several south west venues, as a semi-staged production with principals in costume, and narration holding the drama to the finale.
This included one in St Andrew’s Minster Church, Plymouth in October in aid of both charities, like this concert in Hall for Cornwall.
