200 years ago, far off the Welsh Coast, one man faced an ordeal so diabolical that it would go down in maritime legend, changing the way lighthouses were run forever.
Based on an extraordinary true story, an enchanting tale of sudden loss of life and drawn out loss of sanity unfolds between the flashes of the lamp that the pair must tend each and every night.
Two Keepers Thomas Howell and Thomas Griffith, stunningly played by Martin Bonger and Fionn Gill, battle the elements to keep the light lit and the mariners safe. Using nothing more than a ladder, a couple of chairs and a trapdoor to create the lighthouse these two accomplished actors take the audience on a captivating and enchanting journey as they retell their story of courage, bravery and companionship.
Nominated for three awards at the Edinburgh Fringe 2010 and winners of the Three Weeks Editor's Award, this hugely popular and delightful performance comes highly recommended.
The performance is accompanied by live sound effects and music created and composed by Lawrence Williams.
