Not sure what to do for New Year’s Eve 2018? There's plenty of ways to celebrate all over the Fal River.
Here's our guide to the best champagne-fuelled parties, dazzling firework displays and sparkling events to ring in the New Year!
Falmouth
This year the Falmouth Town Team have got a magnificent firework display up thier sparkly sleeve. Taking place at Pendennis Castle, when the clock strikes midnight the fireworks will be seen all over town.
Falmouth Hotel
Celebrate New Year’s Eve 2017 in spectacular style with a celebration to remember at The Falmouth Hotel.
The gala black-tie evening celebrations commence with a drinks and canapés reception at 7pm followed by a 5 course gala dinner in the Castle Beach Restaurant.
This year they are joined by the 6 piece, Groovy Company for live entertainment and will be inviting guests to gather together with a glass of champagne to countdown to 2018 with a dazzling fireworks over the beach.
St Michaels Hotel Spa
Dress to impress, slip into your party shoes and welcome 2018 in 4 star luxury with St Michael’s Hotel and Spa. Their New Years celebrations include Champagne cocktails, canapes and divine dining at the gala dinner, followed by live music and a DJ so you can dance the night away.
Fancy a New Year’s Day swim? St Michael's Hotel and Spa is a stones throw away from Gyllyngvase Beach where you can join in the masses who brave the cold for a traditional New Year’s Day swim.
The Greenbank
Say hello to 2018 on the water’s edge…Promising a celebration to remember, The Greenbank’s New Year festivities are sure to put the sparkle into 2018’s arrival.
Watch the glow of the last Falmouth sunset of the year, then opt for a refined evening in the bar as cocktails are shaken and stirred, or get footloose in the Riverbank Suite to their resident DJ.

New Year’s Eve Pub Party
Cruise on over to The Working Boat and an excellent riverside spot to say hello to 2018. The lively festivities will begin at 7.30pm and there are two options to choose from;
‘Sink a few’ which includes entry and a glass of bubbles to toast at midnight. OR ‘Drink and dine’ which includes entry, a glass of bubbles at midnight and four courses to tuck into. Dishes will be brought out in intervals and will feature Working Boat favourites from 2017.
Truro
Celebrate New Years Eve in the City. Truro's biggest Firework Display takes place at Lemon Quay - Fancy Dress is encouraged and entry is free!
The Alverton New Years Eve Dinner

The Roseland
If you're looking for a somewhat chilled way to spend the big night, the picturesque villages dotted around the Roseland can be a lovely place to sail into the New Year. The main firework display happens in St Mawes where they are set off from a barge anchored in the harbour, giving spectacular views.
The Tresanton
The Tresanton are celebrating another trip around the sun with Guest DJ Sally K, a casino, a glass of Champagne and premium viewing of the fireworks from the barge in the harbour.
