Each of these junctions has a sign for the King Harry Ferry. Follow each road along and follow the road signs for the ferry. You will get to a T junction which has a sharp bend in it. This is the top of the ferry access road. Follow the road down the hill past the Smugglers Moorings driveway and you will soon get to the ferry queue at the bottom of the hill.

Are there toilets onboard?

Yes - the King Harry Ferry has both a gents and ladies toilet. Please note, there is a small lip on the door frame to stepover to access the toilet.

Can I pay by card on board?

Yes - only for Fal Mussel Card Top-ups. For single and return crossings, please pay by cash. We are currently investing in a new ticketing system where we will be able to take card for all payments, but at the moment, we simply don't have enough time per crossing to process all payments by card. Sorry - we're working on it!

Can I get out of my car and have a look around?

Yes - once the ferry has departed and the gates have been shut, you are more than welcome to get out of your car and enjoy the top deck viewing area. There is also a glass viewing area of the chains and how they work. Please ensure you are in your car when the crew member comes round to collect your fare. You must be back in your car before the ferry lands as cars will start moving on the deck as they unload.

Is there intetnet onboard?

Yes - we have a free WiFi service onboard, however please bear in mind the ferry isn't connected to land, so running a wireless connection out to the ferry can be unreliable from time to time, so please bear with us if it isn't working. There is now 4G coverage on the river for most operators.

How do I purchase a ticket?

Simply drive queue up and drive on to the ferry when instructed to do so, our crew member will come round to collect your fare.

Can I pre-pay?

Yes - pick up our regular users card - The Fal Mussel Card Local. You can order this online and then use to pay for your journey on the ferry. Unfortunately we can't accept payment in advance for single and day return tickets.

I use the ferry regulary, can I get a discount?

Yes - pick up our regular users card - The Fal Mussel Card Local. The card offers a dscounted rate for regular users.

Is there a weight limit?

Yes - 16T max gross.

Height Restriction

There is a height restriction of 3.7m (12' 3") as there is a low bridge on the Trelissick side of the ferry. This is clearly signposted on approaches to the ferry on both sides.

Do you take coaches?

No - we don't take full size coaches. We can take small 'midi coaches' (25 seater max). If you're unsure, we do advise you give us a ring to check before arrivng - 01872 862312.

Can I bring my motorhome or caravan?

Yes - however, please bear in mind there are tight corners to access the ferry and steep slipways on to the ferry ramps. So caravans and motorhomes with big overhangs may 'bottom out' when boarding the ferry. Small caravans and motorhomes shouldn't have a problem.
