Apprentice of the Year 2009-10

22 September — 22 October 2010

Trethem Mill wins new award from Truro & Penwith College.

Jake, 17, (our son) has been chosen as "Apprentice of the Year 2009-2010" at Truro & Penwith College. This is the first year they have run the award and it was announced at a celebration ceremony held at the college last week.

He was awarded with a certificate and an engraved glass trophy. He completed a level 2 apprenticeship in customer service which was run in conjunction while working with us on the Park. It took just over a year to complete and involved attending various training courses as well as working closely with his assessor.

Jake said "I was very pleased and proud to be chosen as the winner, though it was quite a shock! The apprenticeship was a very good thing to do, I really enjoyed it, also I was earning as I was learning!"
