Fal River Festival & King Harry Ferry send two ShelterBoxes to Pakistan.

28 September — 31 October 2010

Two boxes have been dispatched to Pakistan assisting people affected by flooding in the region.

After buying a ShelterBox & a table at the ShelterBox Quiz which was held in the middle of the Fal River Festival 2010. We have now been advised that our boxes have been distributed in Pakistan.

Each box supplies an extended family of up to 10 people with a tent and lifesaving equipment to use while they are displaced or homeless. The contents are tailored depending on the nature and location of the disaster, with great care taken sourcing every item to ensure it is robust enough to be of lasting value.

ShelterBox is responding to the worst flooding in more than 80 years in Pakistan. Over 1,000 ShelterBoxes have already been distributed to families rescued from the floods in the Punjab and Khyber Pukhtunkhwa (KPK) regions.
