Serious incident on King Harry Ferry slipway

From 20 March 2013

Our thoughts are with everyone involved after a car came off the Roseland slipway side of the King Harry Ferry.

At 4pm on Wednesday, March 20 a car rolled down the slipway and into the river on the Roseland side of the King Harry Ferry while the ferry was on the other side of the river.

The emergency services were called immediately and arrived on the scene shortly after.

The King Harry Ferry team and crew have been doing everything they can to help the coast guard, RNLI, fire service, police, ambulance service and local divers who are all on the scene.

Our thoughts are with everyone involved.

UPDATE: Just after 6pm the emergency services pulled the car from the water. Tragically, they recovered the body of an elderly lady. Our heartfelt thoughts go out to the friends and family of everyone involved in this tragedy.
