Skippers' Blog | River Cruises

From 5 July 2013

Weather now set to improve for the next week and we can expect it to be very settled and potentially very warm.

Today was marked by a river cruise up the Percuel river and we went via Froe creek and as far up the river as we dared.  Now that we are running two Place ferries we are able to run some river trips as an addition to the Place ferry itinerary.

They make for a good break and change for the Skippers and the customers thoroughly enjoy the slow and peaceful meander up the river.

This is now the time to take advantage of the other water activities and this picture shows three additional water sports. Kayaking off the St Mawes slipway with Mark Bowers, known as Kayak Mark,  fishing with James and his Fish and Trips and renting small boats for use around the bay with Jamie.
The kayaks are very popular and families use them quite extensively in order to explore up the river, across to Cellars Beach and the coastline. They are a particular feature of the St Mawes summer season and Mark provides an excellent service.
