A Taste of Cornwall at The Idle Rocks

1 December 2017 - 21 March 2018

Experience a real taste of Cornwall with this two-night break at The Idle Rock, available from December through to March* 2018

Arrive at The Idle Rocks and begin your culinary journey. Here you will be greeted by a member of our team and shown to the Lounge for a pot of locally sourced Tregothnan tea and homemade biscuits.

In the evening, join us in the bar for half a dozen fresh Cornish oysters and a glass of Trevibban Mill, Cornish and Organic sparkling wine.

Following this, your journey will continue as you are invited to sit down in our award-winning restaurant to a secret tasting menu. This menu is thoughtfully created by Head Chef Guy Owen and his team and champions the very essence of Cornwall and the stunning produce therein.

The next day, enjoy a relaxing afternoon exploring the beautiful Cornish fishing village of St Mawes, or why not walk to the charming St Just in Roseland Church via the coast path? Ours, and indeed Cornwall's only concierge – Sid, will be on hand to offer his recommendations of all the best spots to visit in the area.

After working up an appetite, head over to our sister property The St Mawes Hotel, for sharing platters and a movie with popcorn in our luxury Hidden Cinema to watch a film of your choice, (subject to availability).

The following day and after a restful night's sleep, enjoy a full Cornish Breakfast before heading home via world famous, Lost Gardens of Heligan.

We have a very special relationship with the Lost Gardens, which are home to the Finest Productive Garden in Britain. It boasts over 300 different varieties of heritage fruit and vegetables, as well as a collection of rare breed livestock and a must see.

Heligan's Productive Gardening and Estate Teams work tirelessly to reflect the same horticultural practices as their Victorian predecessors. Our collaboration allows us to showcase this stunning heritage produce, as we include the Heligan's Garden dish on our menu throughout the year.

Prices start at £458.75 per night, based on a two night stay with two adults sharing a Grand Sea View room. Your break will include:
