Pendennis Castle

Discover 450 years of history at Pendennis Castle.

 

Discover one of Henry VIII's finest coastal fortresses which guarded Falmouth against invasion from Tudor times to the Second World War.

Families will love investigating how the castle defended our shores, with a chance to explore tunnels, towers, an observation post and a host of interactive displays. Climb the steps of the Tudor castle keep to the gun tower to enjoy 360-degree views out to sea and across Falmouth harbour to St Mawes Castle.

Entertain all the family with exciting events every school holiday, including Grand Medieval Jousts in August. Witness the blast of the noon day gun (daily 1 April - 31 October) or take a free guided tour to hear the castle brought to life.

New for 2017 enjoy delicious local fare and recipes inspired by the castle's heritage, in the newly opened café.
