Falmouth Beach Walk - Sponsored by RTP Chartered Building Surveyors

From 21 October 2011

Sponsored by RTP Chartered Building Surveyors. Starting from the Blue Flag Gyllyngvase Beach and taking a gentle stroll along the coast path to Swanpool.

Enjoy the sparkling waters on this gentle ramble down the coast from Gyllyngvase Beach to Swanpool.

The walk starts at Gyllyngvase Beach, which retained its Blue Flag status in 2011. There's plenty to see and do on the beach before the walk begins. With excellent rock pooling, paddle boarding or sipping a coffee and watching the world go buy, there's something on Gyllyngvase Beach for everyone to enjoy.

When you're ready to begin, follow the beach around Swanpool point towards Swanpool Beach. From here there are stunning views back along Gyllyngvase Beach and towards Pendennis Headand.

Follow the coast path until you reach Swanpool Beach. Here you'll find another fine array of things to do including sea kayaking, crazy golf or simply relaxing and taking in the world class views.

There is a nature reserve at Swanpool, home to its resident swans and a variety of duck species.

When you're finished exploring Swanpool, retrace your steps back to your start point at Gyllyngvase beach.

2 miles return and approximately 45 minutes of walking. We would recommend allowing more time to explore both beaches fully.
