For a sense of history, magic and grandeur, the magnificent Pendennis and St Mawes Castles are ideal.

A Charming Castle Celebration

When it comes to iconic, incredible wedding venues, look no further than Pendennis and St Mawes castles. Both built by Henry VIII circa 1540, with a sense of history and romance, these two Tudor castle venues, one perched on the prominent headland in Falmouth and the other on the water’s edge in St Mawes, are breathtakingly beautiful.

At Pendennis Castle, soak up the stately romance of an open fire, a candlelit aisle and the intimate circular Castle Keep for the most magical ceremony. Weave fairly lights around the pillars for an intimate glow and we recommend live musical accompaniment, the acoustics are superb! After the ceremony climb the stone staircase together to the roof terrace and enjoy panoramic views across Falmouth and the ocean, then enjoy drinks on the lawn with friends and family, firing the canons for a real sense of occasion.

At St Mawes, the moment you approach the sweeping road down to the castle, your breath will be taken away by the sheer beauty of the sea views. Tie the knot in the cosy candlelit Gun Room at the top of the castle. Or perhaps get wed overlooking the water on their sea view terrace, the backdrop is surely the most
beautiful you’ll find.

Romantic, historic, dramatic and picturesque, this is the start of your very own fairytale future…
