Brazilian festival - dance, music and acrobatics

1pm-12am Capoeira Workshops, Brazilian Show and Party incorporating Breakdance, hip hop, samba and capoeira (Brazilian art form).

Capoeira workshops: 1-4pm, Penryn College Activities Suite;

Show: 4-7pm, Penryn College Kernewek Theatre;

Party: 8 till midnight, Miss Peapod's café, Jubilee Wharf, Commercial Rd, Penryn.

Capoeira is the non-contact Brazilian martial art which features music, dance and acrobatics. This one-day event features performances from children, young people and adults in capoeira, samba, hip hop and breakdance.

Performers at the show include the TR14ers, Truro School of Samba, Jinga Communities (youth capoeira) and Capoeira Cornwall ACER. The workshops, shows and party are open to all.

There is no age limit on the party at Miss Peapod's, everyone is welcome. The party will feature the 3Cs breakers, plus a live samba band and Rio Carnival dancers along with a Brazilian DJ.
