Exhibition by Philip Lyons

6 — 20 July 2010

Exhibition of paintings by Philip Lyons

One of Veryan Galleries' most distinctive artists, these paintings flicker with light and shade. There are glimpses of a Cornwall that is easily passed by. Alongside familiar landscapes, you are as likely to encounter bungalow rooftops, bits of indiustrial heritage, a view of the sea between buildings.

Philip looks for pattern in the landscape and has developed the use of grids to both enliven the surface and give the impression of changing light.
Recently purchased by the Cornwall Museum collection, Philip is an artist who is getting attention for his unique style and vision.

From July 6th to 20th at Veryan Galleries, The Roseland.
