28 May 2018

With Cornish Wild Food, Pendower Beach, 10.30am - 1.30pm

Get confident identifying, harvesting and cooking with at least a dozen different tasty wild edibles on this Cornish Wild Food Foraging Walk.

Pendower is a great place to learn about foraging thanks to its diverse habitats. This course will get you confident in safely identifying and foraging whilst also learning how to use these ingredients in modern recipes. Explore Bluebell woodlands and learn about native edibles, and their poisonous look alikes. Following the stream to the Pendowr Beach you will also discover many of the coastal edibles found in Cornwall, including a type of seaweed that is highly prized by chefs!

The Coastal & Woodland Foraging Course ends with a cook up on the beach for everyone to taste!

This is a very family friendly location and a gentle walk, with a National Trust car park and toilets. Wear sturdy footwear and dress for the weather. Feel free to bring a basket or bag for collecting, notepad, and camera.
