Greenbank Fal Fish Festival a Falmouth feast

From 6 June 2012

The Greenbank Fal Fish Festival in Falmouth hits the culinary heights and delights the crowds.

Cooking demonstrations, local producers and a wealth of fresh seafood came together at the Greenbank Fal Fish Festival this weekend.

The Fish Festival, an annual event that's part of the Fal River Festival, took place in Events Sqaure, Falmouth, on Sunday, June 3 and Monday, June 4.

Top chefs from the Greenbank Hotel, Stein's Fish Bar and The Cove in Maenporth were on hand to showcase their talents in a range of cooking demonstrations.

They were joined by a fine selection of local producers from across the region who cooked up a storm with everything from wood-fired pizzas to amazing fish tacos.

Fiona Were, head chef at the Greenbank Hotel, said: 'it's an opportunity for local chefs to be showcasing Cornish seafood and fish within the environment of the Fal River Festival.

'It's a great melting pop for local people and peopl outside the county to come and see what we're doing in Falmouth.'
