Film on the Fal :: Master and Commander (12)

2 June 2011

Returning for a third year, the King Harry Ferry will once again be transformed into a floating cinema as part of the Fal River Festival.

Supported by Cornwall Wildlife Trust

Join us for this swashbuckling adventure on the high seas, staring Russell Crowe as the brash British Captain of the H.M.S Surprise. Set during the Napoleonic Wars, the British Frigate is under the command of Captain Jack Aubrey, and his orders are to track, capture or destroy Acheron, a French privateer. Aubrey and his crew are pushed to the limit, as they fight to overcome a series of obstacles to defeat a ship that is nautically superior to their own and achieve a seemingly impossible goal.

Brought to you by Event Cornwall and Skylight Cinemas and supported by Cornwall Wildlife Trust, this is your chance to enjoy classic films in the unique setting of the River Fal. Come and enjoy this unique event as we take the ferry into the middle of the river in the fading light for a cinematic experience unlike any other.
